Her Act

Vine Street Starbucks in Healdsburg, just off the square, just a couple blocks away from where my office’s to be centered. Passport, Day 2.. What to expect, no expectations. Why not just enjoy the day and the story like yesterday. Precisely what I’m going to do, yesterday at the Cinsaut station, thinking there was an ‘l’ before the ‘t’, but no Lainy told me. The TTB did something so it’s either not in there, in the name, at all or you don’t have to write the L. Taste the wine a few times throughout the day but not too much as I wanted to listen to and talk to each person approaching my table. People from Texas and Southern California, Vermont and Massachusetts I think, Oregon and one other state…. Chicago, IL. Nicest people at the beginning of the day. Only say one noticeably drunk or terrifically tipsy guy, using the outhouse by where the band was that’s not at all an outhouse anymore. The owner was informed, and just shrugged his shoulders. Didn’t much care. I laughed a little as he walked away and was told by the tasting room manager or lead about more of the goings on in the day.

Last time I worked Passport, I couldn’t wait for it to be over. This go ‘round, I’m saddened that today, Day 2, is the last. Know that’s from having an assignment which many would call a “real job”, that I can work in wine for fun and for me, but it’s more than that…
